Kappkino Grant was awarded to Catherine Dauphin

Actress and writer Catherine Dauphin has won the fourth Kappkino Grant. The award, which aims to support Catherine in writing the next Kappkino play, is provided by Fonds culturel national (FOCUNA). The jury, comprised of Anne Legill (Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg), Jhang Bermes (Kopla bunz a.s.b.l.), and Tanja Frank (Openscreen a.s.b.l.), selected Catherine’s project “Everything Will Be Alright Darling” (working title).

The story in “Everything Will Be Alright Darling” explores the topic of identity and the issues that reveal themselves when one moves to a different context. This is very relevant to all people of diverse backgrounds who are settling in Luxembourg. Catherine’s narrative suggests a similar experience but from the perspective of a Luxembourgish expatriate.
